Selena Hernandez, Senior Customer Support Specialist
The Senior Customer Support Specialist for McSteen, Selena Hernandez, says “my number one role is to make sure our clients are happy and getting good quality service.” On a day-to-day basis, Selena monitors jobs, helps with research, and “pretty much takes on whatever is thrown her way.”
According to McSteen VP, Molly Woeste, Selena is “on the front lines of correspondence with our clients,” and she does an excellent job of managing their needs while always keeping a smile on her face. Selena has been with McSteen for nearly three years, working at CLE Hopkins Airport before that as a representative for United Airlines and as a Spanish translator.
Our employees are our greatest asset. They are what set us apart from the competition – and they are pretty cool, too! Meet Selena …

What are the qualities that you have that help you to do your job successfully?
I believe my attention to detail helps me do my job well. I also genuinely care about our clients and employees alike. I am also very willing to help where I am needed. So when there is an issue I truly give my all to figure out a solution. My communication skills are also top-notch if I may say so!
How would your clients and/or colleagues describe you?
Clients would probably describe me as helpful and caring. My colleagues might just describe me as a little quiet but bubbly!
What are you listening to/reading/watching?
I am always watching horror movies. Korean, Japanese, and Thai horror movies are probably my favorite. I am also trying to get into the newest Star Trek series but haven’t found the time! I haven’t read any novels in a while but the last book I really got into was 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami. Great read! Highly recommend!
What is your dream vacation?
That’s a tough question. Only because I want to go absolutely everywhere! I like anything with history behind it. I guess I’ll say anywhere with great architecture, landscapes, and art.
How do you think McSteen is different from other land surveying companies?
Here at McSteen, we are all truly dedicated to our work. It really feels like a second family. That is pretty rare to find, not just in this business, but in any.
What is your favorite thing about working at McSteen?
The people! Also, the fact that I get to learn new things daily. Never a boring day here!
Tell us about your family.
I come from a pretty large Puerto Rican family, so there’s a lot to say! But I’ll keep it short and sweet haha 😉 I have a 7-year-old daughter, Marceline (AKA Marcie). She is such a blast! She loves dancing, drawing, and helping mom cook!
