Draw Inspections, Done in 2–3 Business Days.
Trusted by 30+ lenders across Ohio and Indiana. 300–400 inspections completed every month — with the same standard of quality, every time.
Why Lenders Choose McSteen
Built for the way lenders actually work.
When a draw is holding up funding, you need a partner who answers the phone, hits a predictable turnaround, and delivers a clean report every time. That’s the job — and we’ve built our team around it.
A team that actually picks up the phone.
Our clients tell us the same thing over and over: we’re responsive, available, and easy to work with. When something needs attention, you reach a person — not a ticket queue.
Turnaround you can plan around.
Standard inspections come back in 2–3 business days. Rush available when you need it. Our team delivers year round, so you can set borrower expectations with confidence.
Two sets of eyes on every report.
A licensed field inspector visits the site. An in-office reviewer checks the report for consistency before it reaches you. Same standard across our entire team and coverage area.
The McSteen Draw Inspection Process
What to Expect: The McSteen Draw Inspection Process
From order to report, here’s how every draw moves through our team.
Order Received
You submit the draw order through our portal or by email. Our team reviews the request, preps it in our order system, and pulls relevant research from the county GIS to confirm proper site location before anyone heads to the field.
Field Inspection
One of our field inspectors visits the site for a thorough walk-through. They document progress with photographs, complete a percentage-of-completion checklist, and flag anything that stands out — areas of concern, discrepancies, or details worth a closer look. All findings are uploaded from the field directly to our draw coordinator.
In-Office Review
A second set of eyes goes over every report before it leaves our office. Our reviewers confirm the photos are clear and properly labeled, the report documentation is complete, and the field findings align with the percentage-of-completion assessment. Nothing goes out until both views agree.
Report Delivered
The completed report is sent electronically to the email address you provided at the time of order — or any additional recipients you’ve specified. You’ll receive the full package: percentage-of-completion report, labeled progress photographs, and invoice documentation.

About Draw Inspections
What is a Draw Inspection?
A draw inspection is a checkpoint in the construction lending process that verifies completed work before the next round of funding is released. The inspection confirms that progress on site matches what’s been billed, helping lenders allocate funds accurately and on schedule.
Why are Draw Inspections important?
Draw inspections protect the lender, the property owner, and the integrity of the project. They confirm that funds align with completed milestones, surface issues early enough to address them, and keep construction projects moving on schedule.
What's included in an inspection report?
A McSteen Draw Inspection report includes:
- On-site visit by one of our field inspectors
- Verification of completed work against the project plan and timeline
- Review of invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation where applicable
- Photographic documentation of internal and external progress
- In-office review for consistency before delivery
How does rush turnaround work?
Standard turnaround is 2–3 business days. When a funding deadline requires it, we can complete inspections faster — just flag the rush at the time of order or reach out to our team directly.
Do you handle commercial and residential draws?
Yes — we complete both residential and commercial draw inspections across Ohio and Indiana, Northern Kentucky and Southern Michigan, with the same standardized process and 2-step verification on every report.
