Meet Charles Rollins, Account Representative

A graduate of THE Ohio State University, Charles Rollins joins McSteen as an Account Representative where he will spend his time visiting clients and doling out invitations to golf with promises to “suffer in silence for solidarity purposes.” Prior to joining McSteen, Charles worked in sales and account management for five years and honed his people skills as a bartender.

Charles credits the fact that he is, “a normal relatable human being and not some bland robot” for allowing him to connect with people. As for why he chose to continue his career at McSteen, Charles credits his two interviews with the leadership team, saying he was hooked. “Every company I have worked for the interviewers said that they liked their company, but you can tell they were hesitant.” He goes on to say, “With these interviews I could 100% confidently say that they loved where they work, and now I do as well.”

It’s fair to say Charles has big goals for his role with McSteen, citing both territory expansion and growth in numbers. He notes, “Why would everyone not want the best product in the market?”

“Besides the outstanding work our field guys do, we are always on the brink of some new technology or some breakthrough. I don’t really think anyone else in surveying is doing what we are doing right now.”

It’s no wonder why we view our employees are our greatest asset at McSteen. They are what set us apart from the competition – and they are pretty cool, too. Meet Charles Rollins …

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

I love interacting face-to-face with clients.

What is your favorite thing about working at McSteen?

The ability to control my own days. If I want to bring in donuts or want to send emails or grab lunch or happy hours, it is all acceptable and doable.

What are you listening to/reading/watching?

I drive a lot, so I listen to a ton of audiobooks. If you ever want to get weird and talk wizards and elves, I am all on board. Spice it up with some self-improvement books and that’s one killer drive.

Tell us about your family

My dad has a house in Clearwater Florida, and my mom lives in Belaire Michigan, a stone’s throw away from Traverse City. You can catch me on Torch Lake in the summer. I also have tons of cousins and family in the Toledo area where I grew up.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Duff the ball on the golf course and tell my buddies I shot par.
