As we close the book on 2025, there’s much to celebrate at McSteen. We reflect on a year defined not just by steady progress, but by expansion, momentum, and impact. This year, we didn’t just grow – we redefined our boundaries, deepened our partnerships, and built the operational strength to carry us into the future.
Expanding Our Footprint: Now Serving All of Indiana
If there’s one story that defines 2025, it’s our expansion across the entire state of Indiana. What started as strategic growth into 24 counties in Eastern Indiana has developed into a full statewide presence. Today, McSteen serves all 92 Indiana counties with the same precision and responsiveness that clients across Ohio have come to expect.
Our Indiana services now include:
- Surveyor Location Reports (SLRs)
- Construction Draw Inspections,
- Comprehensive land surveying services.
This step not only broadens our geographic reach but brings the McSteen standard of quality and responsiveness to an entirely new market of lenders, title professionals, builders, and property owners.
This expansion culminated in the continued build-out of our Indiana team – bringing McSteen’s purpose of securing the land where we live, work, and play to an even larger community.

Investing in People: Team Growth and Industry Leadership
Behind every McSteen project is a team committed to accuracy, service, and continuous improvement. In 2025, we welcomed 23 new team members across Ohio and Indiana, expanding our capacity in the field, drafting department, client support, and leadership roles.
Our commitment to education remained strong:
- We delivered 18 continuing education courses in partnership with title companies and real estate professionals, reinforcing best practices across every transaction.
- We presented at two state surveying conferences, sharing practical insights on artificial intelligence in land surveying—highlighting how new technologies can improve efficiency, quality control, and professional judgment without compromising the integrity of the profession.
- With three additional speaking engagements already scheduled for early 2026, McSteen continues to lead with innovation and collaboration in the surveying community.
Internally, we also advanced our implementation of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), which is now more than 70% complete. Through this process, we’ve aligned our teams around shared goals and strengthened accountability across departments. Insights gained from EOS and the Scalerator NEO program have helped shape how we lead, operate, and grow.
Strengthening Client Partnerships
While our internal growth was significant, much of 2025 was defined by a deepened commitment to client partnerships. We worked side-by-side with title companies, lenders, legal professionals, and builders to improve the efficiency, speed, and clarity of every order.
Key areas of progress included:
- Continued refinement of internal workflows to ensure reliable turnaround times and consistent quality.
- Adoption of advanced tools in the field and office to support faster data collection, better communication, and stronger quality control.
- Expansion of our service area without compromising the trusted McSteen standard our partners rely on.
As our reach grows, so does our commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and with transparency.
Living the McSteen Standard
At the heart of all this progress is purpose. Every member of the McSteen team is united by a shared mission:
To secure the land where we live, work, and play by empowering lenders, title professionals, and property owners with fast, accurate surveys and inspections—so every deal moves forward with confidence.
Whether we’re onboarding a new employee, completing a complex survey, or supporting a first-time partner in Indiana, that mission shapes everything we do.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we enter the new year, we’re focused on continuing the momentum we built in 2025. Our priorities include:
- Further expansion and market penetration in Indiana
- Full EOS implementation across all departments
- Improved boundary survey turnaround times by leveraging new technology
- Increased opportunities to educate, collaborate, and support our clients and industry partners throughout Ohio and Indiana
Thank you to our team, clients, and partners for a remarkable 2025. Here’s to a year of new boundaries, greater impact, and continued growth in 2026.
